--NEORNITHES:
nomina avium
EXPLAINED BY IMAGES-
|
| A search instrument of our Informatics Ages:
a data-base with a single, built-in program designed properly for this
feature which allows to quickly view lots of information about birds, with
several search keys. |
NEORNITHES tries to be helpful for those which
don't have access to a huge, specialized library, because it grants a quick
and comprehensive search system over a database of 38,000 schedules with
fundamentals of the formal taxonomic hierarcy... and much more.
The first and only computer-based system with
all known and living birds' names in Italian language.

User Record-Inserting
If you reinstall the CD-ROM, the existing
database will be replaced with the original one. User-added schedules will
be lost, of course, and the same will happen to changes made by the user
in existing schedules.
-
--- SECURITY BACKUPS
-
It is advisable to make regular security backups
of your own data, copying somewhere else (or with a different name) the
following files:
C:\AVM\N0.DBF -
C:\AVM\N0.MDX
|
---
This just because the program has the
capability to add and edit data.
In fact the NEORNITHES, for the
peculiarity of the subject it deals with, allows you to add new schedules
or
edit (and even delete!) the existing
ones.
