1833: publishes Schlesiens Wirbelthier-fauna
1833: publishes Das Abändern der Vögel durch Einfluss des Klima's (describing
"Gloger's Rule")
1834: publishes the first volume of Vollständiges Handbuch der Naturgeschichte der
Vögel Europa's
1834: moves to Berlin
after 1834: works at the Berlin Zoological Museum
1853: joins editorial board of, and begins publishing in, the Journal für Ornithologie
